History of Shawntay

In the summer of 1977, just two months early, a young girl was born in Baltimore, Maryland. After spending some time getting to know the folks in the NICU, she made her venture intot he world. Thus making Baltimore her home.
Within a few years Shawntay ventured off to school. Exposing her to the world of reading. Reading became a passion. Often one would find her curled up with a good book, that is when she wasn't in front of the television watching Gem and the Holograms or fighting with her older sister.
In middle school came the akward years. LIke most 'tweens, Shawntay stuggled to find her identity and even now will look back to those day and think "What was I wearing?" This is where she developed a love for writing. Often found writing poems and short stories, again warrents the current phrase "What was I thinking back then?"
Then came high school. Oh the pleasant days of high school are the days Shawntay will never forget. Forced to attend an all girls high school left her feeling some what cheated. She was never allowed the opportunity to sit in class and day dream about the cute boy that sat two rows up on the left. Only she was left dealing with fashion obsessed girls who spent all their time working on their hair and makeup. Which left Shawntay thinking: "Who are they trying to impress?"
The glory days of college. They were brief for Shawntay as she met the most wonderful guy that first semester there. Next thing you know there was spring break and a baby on the way. So while this new guy finished college, Shawntay took care of the baby boy. Once graduated, he and Shawntay were married.
Fast forward a few years of married bliss and Shawntay and her beau decided to continue to expand the family and low and behold there came a baby girl. No sooner could Shawntay blink she was then blessed with baby girl #2.
So where does that now leave Shawntay. Well still trying to finish collage by taking 1 to 2 classes a semester and working part time to be there with the kids. Each day brings new adventures that I'd love to share..
